There are 4 public schools, 1 private school, nursery schools and home school groups in Nelson County. Our goal is to help promote educational events as well as after school activities and sporting events.

We are so very thankful for our first responders that include our local police force, state police, rescue squads, fire departments and more. We hope to be a place where we can show appreciation for our first responders as well as events that support them. This will also be a centralized location that can be utilized by first responders to alert our community to emergency situations.

In June 2000, my children and I moved to Nelson County for work and a life change. While I was born in Kentucky, raised in New Jersey and attended college in Farmville, Virginia, I felt a wonderful sense of community when we arrived in Nelson County.
